62 Signal Unit Guardians

62 SU is based at Salua, is a small village about 10 kms South West of Kharagpur. The British constructed a Military Air Base in 1941 to support their Burma during World War Il. American and British aeroplanes operated from the base during and after 1942. 62 SU has the THD-1955 Radar and functions as an important ADDC in the Eastern Sector. It is co-locted with a Tropo Unit.
